Certified Givers

Commerce for Change’s certification measures a company’s philanthropic practices, certifying that each business is meeting the highest standards of corporate transactional philanthropy. Creating new levels of transparency for corporate giving, Commerce for Change evaluates how a company gives, the percentage that they give, and to whom they are giving.

Facilitate a Movement

Commerce for Change will organize transactional donors together to create a new philanthropic movement under a singular and collective voice. Through gathering corporate transactional givers and shoppers under a single umbrella, we will develop, encourage, and nourish a new form of philanthropy. Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.

Aggregate Giving

Commerce for Change will aggregate the money collectively donated by each of our certified givers. We will catalog what businesses and corporations are giving and what charities, foundations and nonprofit organizations and institutions they are giving to. By aggregating donations, transactional charity will grow as a marketing and philanthropic tool.

Empower the Shopper

Commerce for Change will empower shoppers to pressure local and national businesses to give transactionally and to tap into the excitement of the moment and this movement. By voting with their purchases, shoppers’ actions will determine the scope and impact of a corporation’s philanthropic reaction.

Recruit New Businesses

Commerce for Change will recruit new businesses, from Fortune 500s to start-ups, to give back by helping these corporations understand the financial gains and the social benefits that can be made through transactional charity. By celebrating the marketing power of philanthropy, we will empower and expand this movement and by doing so will raise millions for charity.

Localized Movements

We will facilitate movements where a local cause can raise money through local businesses coming together and to support and give transactionally to that cause. Through localized movements of commerce, we will create mechanisms for local  advocates, businesses, and community leaders to raise money to help fix the issues affecting their communities.
